Trica Trowbridge
Trica joined the team as Community Engagement Coordinator after spending several years helping beautify neighborhoods across the Minneapolis metro area, one front yard at a time.Wanting to make a broader impact, she transitioned into Hunger Relief, where she could be part of the solution to food system challenges and help build healthier communities.
Over the past decade, Trica has focused on program management, partnership development, and community collaboration. She enjoys bringing community members together to strengthen and improve access to local resources, especially healthy food. She believes food insecurity is fundamentally an economic issue because when people don’t have reliable access to nutritious food, they;re often forced to make difficult choices about how to spend limited resources.
Outside of work, Trica loves gardening and sharing the harvest with friends and neighbors along with creating flower arrangements from blooms grown in her own garden. Trica enjoys volunteering at live music events all over the country. She also welcomes campers to her property as a Hipcamp host. Trica lives with her husband, Brian, and their dog, Loretta Lynn and a small flock of chickens known as The Sassy Chics.
