Kristy Allen is owner and head beekeeper at The Beez Kneez LLC. For over 15 years, she has been working in the sustainable agriculture sector with a focus on farming, education, community organizing and food system change. Her work as a beekeeper provided a powerful way to connect with the sustainable farming community both at home and abroad. Her experience starting a community advocacy campaign for pollinators, Healthy Bees Healthy Lives, was a natural segue into leading the Polk Burnett Chapter of WFU for 3 years and working with other farmers to launch the SCVFA in 2022. When she doesn't have her head in a beehive, she enjoys a refreshing swim or paddle in one of the rivers or lakes of the St. Croix River Valley.
